Legacy Interactive releases Farm Vet for download, let the rejoicing commence
2008-01-31 07:17:00 by Destructoid.com in Destructoid - Hardcore video game blog

Unable to hold back their giddy excitement at unleashing what is almost certainly going to be hailed as the best game of '08 (if not all time), Legacy Interactive has released a downloadable version of their PC sim Farm Vet.  I know what you're saying to yourself right now, "I thought Farm Vet was slated for release next month, no way they broke the release date on a game this amazing."  And hey, that's a reasonable statement to make given the current state of gaming and near constant news of delays, but that's just how Legacy Interactive rolls, with a singularly gangster aplomb.

Chickens choking left and right? Horse dislocate a knee in the dark of night?  Cows in need of insemination? You are just the badass ninja of veterinary medicine for the job (although Destructoid would like to remind you that science has proven that a prolonged exposure to veterinary sims induces a love for animals that is illegal most everywhere).

Pulling no punches to ensure the realistic, lifelike quality of the game, Legacy Interactive has collected hundreds of real life scenarios from farm veterinarians the world over. It's accuracy to the point of being frightening; invariably making you feel like you are right there in the middle of all the blistering action.

The rest of the year has simply been ruined for games, there is just no way to meet the challenge Legacy Interactive levels at game designers everywhere with an effort of sysiphean proportion. I implore you, drop whatever it is you're doing right now and drop the measly $20 Legacy Interactive is charging for their masterpiece, it's a steal at any price.

Full release after the jump.
