3rd Annual Fight Like a Girl Halo Charity Tournament
2008-10-04 11:15:33 by bs angel in Hawty McBloggy Invites You to Play

Sixty-five percent of American households play some form of video games. With a current resident population of over 300,000,000, that means almost 200,000,000 Americans are gamers. While that is specific to the United States only, think about how large that number is in global terms. By my very scientific calculations, I figure a shitload of people around the world are gamers. A group that large has the power to make a difference, and make a difference we do. From larger organized charities to independent run tournaments, gamers are a caring and passionate bunch. It’s time to pull together again, this time for the 3rd Annual Fight Like a Girl Halo 3 Tournament.

A tournament where 100% of the proceeds are donated to fight breast and cervical cancer, the first year raised $777 while the second year brought in over $4,000. The Cavegirls, a group of dedicated female gamers who organize this tournament every year, hope this year’s tournament will be even bigger and better than the previous ones. Featuring both FFA and team brackets, the 3rd Annual Fight Like a Girl Halo 3 Tournament will take place over Xbox Live the weekend of the October 25th and 26th. The entry fee is $10 per person, per event. You can donate, get more information, and sign up at FlagTournament.com. Check out the very pink informational poster after the jump (which you are welcome to post at your own site if you would like to help spread the word). I know both breast cancer and cervical cancer have touched my life personally, and I’m sure the same can be said for many of you. So play your favorite video game and make a difference. It’s about supporting the bewbs people. Do it.
