Bungie is going the extra mile to right a horrendous mixup and restore one fan’s piece of history.
Gaming Today issued a warning to those who need to get a customized console repaired. “Nathaniel” turned in his one-of-a-kind Xbox 360 for repairs and had it returned with invaluable signatures and artwork of gaming industry greats carefully cleaned off.
According to Next Generation, Bungie is stepping forward with a super-secret project to repair the damage.
“Something is already ‘afoot’ within Bungie to help our community member in need,” Bungie community director Brian Jarrard told Next-Gen on Monday. “Our team and the community as a whole is rallying to help fix this unfortunate situation. It’s been awesome to see such an outpouring of sympathy and support from our community. We can’t replace the exact item that was lost but, but we should come very close.
“I think when it’s all said and done, justice will prevail,” said Jarrard.
This is just the kind of thing that shows sometimes gamers can be some of the most loyal, supportive people out there. The project is still classified top secret, but we’ll be waiting for the big reveal.
