“Rather than worry about what sort of content we can put into the game, we just want to create something that will be appealing to the player. We’ll worry about (ratings) afterwards.” - Mad World’s director Shigenori Nishikawa
We have heard some disheartening stories related to developers and game ratings. Some devs were working hand-in-hand with the ESRB to avoid a rating that was too high. It worries me that devs are so willing to self-censor just to make sure the game sees a release. I like to see developers go all out on their ideas, and then deal with the issues afterwards. Glad to see that Mr. Nishikawa is taking that route.
