The Path is a game I am highly interested in. In a world where games seem to be eerily similar to each other, The Path has something unique to offer us. The tale of Little Red Ridinghood has been diluted over the years and fortunately the great people at Tale Of Tales are bringing the story back in a more traditional form of the tale. Tale Of Tales may be a small independent game developer, but they are certainly ambitious and I love what I have seen from them so far. Here’s what they had to say about the story they are telling:

“We are using the medium of games to tell stories. To tell old stories in new ways. To immerse people in a certain mood. To make them experience poetry in an almost tactile way. The fairy tale of Little Red Ridinghood is about a girl on the verge of womanhood. We chose to adhere to older versions of the story. Versions in which a girl meets a wolf and nobody comes to her rescue. The Path is a dark tale that always ends badly. A cautionary tale, perhaps, against the attractions of a gloomy forest. Or perhaps an encouraging tale, about seizing the day to bloom as splendidly as anyone can, even if only for a short while.”

New gameplay footage of the game has just been uploaded to our server for your viewing pleasure. Click on one of the links below to check out the new video. Adhering to ESRB standards, you must provide birth date information in order to download this file from our server at FileFront.
