wallpaper_rainbow_six_vegas_04_10243 In a LiveText interview at Eurogamer, Ubisoft developer Phil Therion expressed doubt that the company will ever delve into the hardcore shooter market. This came after a fan asked asked whether Ubisoft would consider working on a new tactical shooter similar to the original Ghost Recon. Therion replied: “I doubt we will ever go back to really hardcore only shooters.”

“The market was too narrow for it to be a viable business choice,” he continued. “We would like to be able to please both sides but compromises have to be made.”

Interestingly, he did not shoot down the idea of returning to Rainbow Six’s roots. He hinted that the development of such a game would feature elements to please both markets.
