The last big game update to Guild Wars that was pushed out on the 29th February had a couple of very handy bug fixes:
- Updated the Journey to the North buff description to inform players that attributes cannot be modified while under the benefits of the buff.
- Removed health regeneration from Ilsundur, Lord of Fire to be consistent with other dungeon boss encounters and to reduce the difficulty of the encounter.
Journey to the North is the buff that allows characters who aren’t yet level 20 to still access Eye of the North. You can read more about the Journey to the North buff and other changes to help access in this Eye of the North post.
The change was needed as a lot of players were getting confused about why they couldn’t modify their attributes in any of the Eye of the North map areas. Hopefully things should be a bit clearer now.
The second change was really needed - Ilsunder’s health regeneration made the encounter a lot more difficult than it needed to be, and as the patch notes said, he needed to be brought in line with the other dungeon bosses.
You can read about more about Ilsunder and the related quest in this Eye of the North dungeon post.
