Two things surprise us about Namco Bandai's announced Tokyo Game Show lineup: the complete dearth of Katamari titles and, coincidentally, the inclusion of Katamari creator Keita Takahashi's Nobi Nobi Boy for PlayStation 3, a title we haven't heard about since October 2007. According to the publisher (via Siliconera), the game (the title literally translates to "Stretch Stretch Boy") will be shown in video form only, a bit surprising considering the playable prototype that appeared last year at GameCity.

Namco Bandai's lineup includes 29 titles, including Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and the multiplatform Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2. Interestingly, the publisher is also showing off four PlayStation 2 titles, edging out Sony's support of PS2 at this TGS by a margin of 4 to 0.

Katamari Damacycreator Keita Takahashi has been working on a new PlayStation 3 exclusive called Nobi Nobi Boyfor a while now, and we'll finally get to see the game as part of Bandai Namco's lineup at next week's Tokyo Game Show.

We'll have to settle for a video presentation, but that's fine by me, a long as it explicitly shows off the new title's gameplay.

Previous demo showcases have featured an elastic four-legged character that can interact with barnyard animals, even swallowing them, but it's not yet clear what your goal is in the game.

Sony has issued a press release revealing the titles the company will show at next week's Tokyo Game Show, adding that another 14 titles are expected to join the lineup.

Of those 14 titles, three are PSP games, all published by Sony, with the rest for the PlayStation 3. Of those PlayStation 3 titles, publishers Irem and Konami will each contribute one, with the other nine coming from Sony.

The currently confirmed list of games that will be on display at Sony's Tokyo Game Show booth is below. Tokyo Game Show begins October 9.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has published a press release on their PlayStation Japan listing all the PS3 and PSP games that will end up in the Tokyo Game Show event next weekend. Curious? Hellzyeah, you better be.

Unannounced PSP Games

One PS3 game from Konami? Revealing MGS5 seems to be a bit too soon... Maybe Zone of the Enders 3? And from Irem... another R-Type game or probably Steambot. I was also hoping maybe Capcom would have an unannounced title for the PSP (a portable DMC or Resident Evil sounds fab right about now...).

Of the 14 yet-to-be-revealed titles, a dozen of them are actually coming from Sony Computer Entertainment - meaning, it could come from any which one of their studios, from Team ICO to SOE. Also, there's no knowing if these unannounced titles will be new IPs or just new installments in existing franchises. I wonder which is the supposed "super-sexy secret game" referred to yesterday.
